Krčedin - Belgrade - Novi Sad - Sremski Karlovci - Fantast – Krušedol

Day one


- Departure from Belgrade


j- Journey by boat to Krčedinska ada - Krčedinska ada is a unique island in the Danube where farmers and fishermen meet. Herds of horses move freely along sandy banks that stretch for hundreds of meters. Greenery of island and Danube water provide unique scenery. Krčedinska ada is important point of feeding and resting during migration of white and black storks. Because of its natural resources it has been named European important area for birds of the IBA project (Cambridge, 2000).


- Lunch - Kettle and Grill on island.
- Organized horse riding for interested.

- Afternoon journey by bus to Novi Sad
- Hotel accommodation

- Visit to Petrovaradin Fortress - Petrovaradin Fortress is located in Novi Sad on Petrovaradin rock on the right bank of the Danube. On the site of a medieval building, the current fortress was built by the Austrians between 1692 and 1780 because of the constant danger from the Turks and its proximity to the border with the Ottoman Empire. Because of its size and dominance it is also called the Gibraltar of the Danube.

- Gala dinner at a restaurant with music. Overnight.

Day two

- Visit to Sremski Karlovci - Visiting wine cellars in Karlovac tasting famous wine Bermet - BERMET is traditionally Karlovac’s aromatic wine, which was once extremely popular. During the Austro-Hungarian rule in this region, court in Vienna bought liters of this nectar from Karlovac. There is evidence that the favorite gift on London Court was a bottle of Bermet from Vienna. Few bottles of Bermet were also found on the sunken Titanic. Among the nobles this drink was extremely popular.
- Visiting Patriarchal Church and the home of the oldest Serbian high school and the city of Karlovac.
- Coffee break in the center of Karlovac

- Lunch on the farm of 137 - a unique experience of the rural environment and way of preparing food called "slow food"

- Gala dinner at a restaurant with music

Day three


- Breakfast

- Visit to the Fantast Castle - Built by Bogdan Dundjerski, in several phases and was completed in 1925. Main tower and four corner towers were built in the Gothic revival style, and a formal hall and both entrances were built in the neoclassical style. There is church (chapel) near the castle, built in neo byzantine style dedicated to St. George and partly painted by Belgrade icon painter master Karbiner. The three mosaics on the portal and the Last Supper were painted for two years, by Uroš Predić, Madonna got Mara Dundjerski face according to wish of Bogdan Dunđerski. His will was that the only successor would be Serbian Matica (Serbian culture club). The owner of the estate was a great lover of horses. It is said that he owned over 1400 horses. Most famous one was Fantast that in 1932, at Belgrade's Hippodrome won all three races and all the titles. When he died, Bogdan Dundjerski buried him on his property, and after completion of construction of the castle it got Fantast’s name. Today, bones of the most beautiful horse of Bogdan Dundjerski are exposed in one case at the castle (the skull and thigh bone).

- Visit to the monastery Krušedol - Krušedol Monastery is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church on Fruška mountain. Monastery was founded by the family of last Serbian Despot in Srem region - Branković. It was built between 1509 and 1514 by George Brankovic. Two Patriarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church and

King Milan were buried at Krušedol.

- Return to Belgrade in the late afternoon
