- Visiting the Palić Lake - According to a legend this lake represents remains of the Pannonian Sea and is originated from the tears of Pavle the shepherd who grazed his sheep there. The lake was formed in ancient times as spring, although the lake water mainly comes from rainfall that filled the valley. Salinity of the lake can be explained by the water dripping from the surrounding terrain, dissolving sodium chloride. Lake Palić was for the first time mentioned in 1462 as Pali (Paly). The first drawing, which was a map of the lake (Paligo Palys) dates from 1690. In the late 18th century it was discovered that the lake water and mud have healing powers. According to the idea of a doctor from Subotica the inn was built in1845,
which was the basis for later construction of Baths and Spa. Palić experienced a boom in 1880s, after the opening of railway line Budapest-Zemun and the tram line to Subotica. In addition to the treatment (primarily bone and skin diseases) Palić's visitors were coming for fun. On 1978 the first mineral water well was discovered and in 1984 the outdoor thermal pool.
