- Visit to the Petrovaradin Fortress - Petrovaradin Fortress is located in Novi Sad on the Petrovaradin rock, on the right bank of the Danube. The current fortress was built by the Austrians on the site of a medieval building between 1692 and 1780, because of the constant danger from the Turks and its proximity to the border with the Ottoman Empire. Because of its size and dominance it is also called the Gibraltar of the Danube.

- -Arrival at the hotel in Subotica town - Subotica was first mentioned in May 7th 1391, but certainly the place existed earlier. It was found that people in this region lived more than 3,000 years ago. Fate of Subotica was determined by its important position on the road between Europe and Asia and the border of two conflicting forces: Hungary and Turkey. During frequent migrations over this military frontier many people came: Serbs, Hungarians, Germans, Slovaks, Jews, Bunjevci, Greeks ... They often changed masters and the names of the city. From its first name – Zabatka at 1391, it changed more than two hundred names, but the most characteristic names were Szent-Maria, Maria-Theresiopolis, Maria Theresienstadt, Szabadka and Subotica. Situated at the crossroads, Subotica has always been a place of tumultuous historical events.

Subotica's self-proclaimed king

One of the fairy figures of Subotica past was Jovan Nenad Black, checked into the history after the defeat of Hungarian forces against the Turks at Mohacz on 1526. He had a mysterious black stripe that stretched from his head to his feet, which gave him his nickname ‘Black’. He drove the Turks out of southern Hungary and there established his short term Slavic state. He proclaimed himself emperor, and chose Subotica for his capital. He was killed in 1527 in conflict with the Hungarian nobility.

Four centuries later, on the anniversary of his death, amonument in his honor was erected on the main square Subotica that was destroyed by the occupying forces in 1941 and was rebuilt in 1991.

IDay two

- Breakfast

- Visiting the Palić Lake - According to a legend this lake represents remains of the Pannonian Sea and is originated from the tears of Pavle the shepherd who grazed his sheep there. The lake was formed in ancient times as spring, although the lake water mainly comes from rainfall that filled the valley. Salinity of the lake can be explained by the water dripping from the surrounding terrain, dissolving sodium chloride. Lake Palić was for the first time mentioned in 1462 as Pali (Paly). The first drawing, which was a map of the lake (Paligo Palys) dates from 1690. In the late 18th century it was discovered that the lake water and mud have healing powers. According to the idea of a doctor from Subotica the inn was built in1845,

which was the basis for later construction of Baths and Spa. Palić experienced a boom in 1880s, after the opening of railway line Budapest-Zemun and the tram line to Subotica. In addition to the treatment (primarily bone and skin diseases) Palić's visitors were coming for fun. On 1978 the first mineral water well was discovered and in 1984 the outdoor thermal pool. Great Park now occupies about 190,000 m2.

- Visiting the villa Majur and haras Kelebija - Haras Kelebija, near the border with Hungary, was established in 1993, on only two acres and a few old mares purchased in Karadjordjevo, Vucjak (BiH), Gjakova ... Fifteen years later, horse farm has grown into an impressive complex on 20 acres, with artificial lake, a modern barn, large pastures, competitive fields, flower beds and facilities in the Pannonian style. There are 60 Lipizzaner horses and one breeding stallion from all the six main lines of stallions - Maestoso, Conversano, Favory, Neapolitan, Cork, Siglavy. Unlike most people that know little about their ancestors, the origin of these horses is known in detail 428 years back - since 1580, when the breed of horses originated in the village Lipica in Slovenia, the former Habsburg monarchy. The villa Majur offers swimming pool, sauna, mini gym, two tennis courts and an artificial lake for amateur fishing. Only 300 m from the hotel is Kelebija Stud.
