Belgrade - Despotovac - Manasija- Resavska Cave - Lysine – Belgrade

 

- Departure by bus to the Miniatures Park near Despotovac – Modelling park with replicas of medieval Serbian monasteries, is built in the ratio of 1:17. Models were made as a perfect copy of churches as they are in life size..



- Visiting the Monastery of Manasija - Manasija Monastery (Resava) is one of most important monuments of the Serbian medieval culture and one of most important buildings, which belongs to the so-called "Moravia school”. The monastery was built by Despot Stefan Lazarević, also known as Stefan the Tall, whose relics, according to some experts, are located in the southern part of the church, beneath a white marble slab. Construction lasted between 1407 and 1418. Immediately after its formation, Manasija became the cultural center of the Despot’s state. Its "Resavska School" was a copying manufacturer and was a source of written works and translations even after the fall of the State, throughout the fifteenth and sixteenth century.


- Visiting the Resavska Cave

- One of the oldest surveyed caves in the country, about 80 million years old, while the old jewelry in the cave is estimated at 45 million years. The temperature is a constant 7 °C, while humidity varies from 80-100%. The interior of the cave has numerous venues, canals, galleries, pillars, stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and petrified waterfalls ...Jewelry cave begins with the entrance located at 485 m above the sea level and it is created by dissolution of calcium carbonate while the color depends on the minerals that pass through the water. Jewelry appears in three colors - red, yellow and white. Most dominant is the red color coming from iron oxide, white coming from the crystal of calcium and red clay from the impurities.

- Going to a Waterfall Lisine – Spring Veliko vrelo and waterfall Veliki buk are protected by the Decree of the Government of the Republic, as a natural monument Lisine, which is a part of exceptional monument fund geo heritage of Serbia. Height of the waterfall is over 20 meters while those brave ones can enjoy cold stream waters of the lagoon.
