- Boarding the ship. Sailing for about 50 minutes to the archaeological site Vinča. Vinčanska culture is younger Neolithic and early Neolithic culture of Europe (between the first centuries of the 5th millennium BC and first centuries of the 4 millennium BC). It was extended from the middle Tisza River in the north to the Skopje valley to the south and from the river Ušora and Bosnia in the west to the Sophia Basin in the east, and included the territory of Serbia, Romania, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vinča culture was the most technologically advanced prehistoric culture in the world. The earliest copper metallurgy in Europe comes from Vinča’s Belovode mines in eastern Serbia. Riverside of the Danube in the area of Vinča was declared an archaeological park.
