Divcibare

Divčibare is a resort on the Maljen mountain. There is a region that encompasses the area Divčibare, Maljen mountain and ski resort Divčibare.

The most beautiful feature of Divcibare are  viewpoints. There are several of them, where from, when the weather is clear, it is possible to see the mountains of Kopaonik, Golija, Zlatibor and even Durmitor in Montenegro.

Area of Divčibare is abundant with springs and rivers. River Manastirica is the most interesting because of its nice waterfall, 20 m high, which locals call Jumper.

Thera are two ski tracks. Track Crni vrh is 600 m long. The track is lightened, and there is a possibility of night skiing. New Ski Trail "Black Top" is 850 m long with a two-seater cable chairlift. There are three smaller ski slopes, up to 300 m. Divčibarska valley has excellent terrain for cross-country skiing.

Maljen mountain extends to the east-west, at a distance of about 25 kilometers. Center of the region's mountain resort Divčibare is located 38 kilometers south of Valjevo, and 107 kilometers from Belgrade. The highest peak is 1104m Kraljev sto (King's table).
Divčibare is known by its meadows with a nice soft grass. There are four nature reserves: Black River, Calacki stream, Zabalac and Devil's Pool. Thanks to Divčibare's good geographical position, air masses from the Mediterranean are conflicting with air masses of the Carpathians and the Pannonian Plain. This explains the presence of iodine in the air.

At the end of April, there is a beautiful mountain flower - narcissus, and next to it wild strawberries, wild raspberries and blackberries can be found.

There are many facilities for various sports, ski lifts and trails that are ideal for children and beginners in skiing. There are two tennis courts, and a basketball and handball courts are built at several places.

Divčibare is ideal for holiday and long walks to the gazebo and pure mountain freshwater springs.
